Opens Manufacturing unit in South Africa

The placing has been arranged by the Company’s broker, WestLB Panmure Limited.

Anti-Obesity Drug Candidate (P57)

Pursuant to the provisions of the Company’s Articles of Association and in line with plans announced at the time of the Company’s flotation in 1996, Brian Whittle stands down from the Board of Phytopharm plc today, having attained the age of 65. Brian Whittle was a founding shareholder of the Company and its first Chief Executive. He has served as its Chief Scientific Officer since 1994.
